THISTLE AND GOOSE: THE FLYING START
By Jessie Sima
Simon & Schuster BFYR

From the bestselling author of Not Quite Narwhal comes the first book in a chapter book series about an orderly cat witch and an exuberant goose who become neighbors that has the odd-couple friendship of Frog and Toad and the whimsy of Kiki’s Delivery Service.

Thistle is a cat hedge witch who lives a gentle, quiet life at the edge of the forest. She enjoys the routine of caring for her garden, making berry jam, and practicing her magic.

Goose is, well, a Canada goose. Like most geese, he loves making friends, having adventures, and honking! (So much honking.) When he accidentally crash-lands in Thistle’s garden, it is anything but gentle and quiet. It is chaos!

Thistle’s world is turned upside down by her unexpected roommate. But sometimes the best of friends meet in the most unexpected ways.
